So lets discuss some of the great combinations of foods.
Vanilla Ice Cream & Fried Onion
Vanilla Ice Cream & Fried Onion is a very common food combination which are really loved by peoples of every age. The sweet refreshing taste of the vanilla went perfectly well with the crunchy saltiness of the onions. Ever since then that has been my favorite combo to eat.
Avocado & Olive Oil
As a healthy snack one would often cut an avocado in half, take out the pit, fill it will olive oil, and then sprinkle a pinch of good sea salt on top. We would then dig in like a hungry bear with a mini dessert spoon. It's amazing that something so simple can make avocado seem like it deserves to be the appetizer in a fancy French restaurant.
Also, among the Japanese, wasabi and soy sauce is a popular combination for those who want to feel like they're eating raw fatty tuna for half the price. Top it on rice and you got yourself a wannabe maguro donburi (tuna rice bowl).
Milk & Ramen
Milk used to be absolute favorite beverage in the entire galaxy for mostly peoples. Skeptics out there may want to actually try the milk ramen at this shop before you pass it off as another crazy Japanese invention. Some people say it’s incredibly delicious and others say it’s not really to their taste. Opinions differ, but all in all, the consensus is that milk ramen isn’t too bad. Being called “milk ramen”, I thought it would be quite heavy and taste more like actual milk, but that wasn’t the case at all.
In Mexico, no stranger to some exotic cocktails, perhaps most famously the michelada, This Cocktails is a mixture of your beer of choice with Tabasco, lime juice, salt, and Worcestershire (Maggi) sauce.
mangos with shoyu (soy sauce)
It's okay if you think I'm weird for liking this, but the saltiness of the soy sauce and the sweetness of the mango makes for a very interesting flavor profile. Give it a try, if you ever have the chance. You might like it. 🙂
